Ben Kingsley Joins Night at the Museum 3

He'll portray an Egyptian pharaoh on display at a British museum in this continuation of the hit franchise.

With production scheduled to start in London next month, Night at the Museum 3 has added another cast member in Ben Kingsley.

The actor will portray an Egyptian pharaoh on display in a British museum, who comes to life through a magical tablet. Ben Stiller is reprising his role as Larry Daley from Night at the Museum, set in New York City, and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, which took place at the famous Washington D.C. attraction. No plot details have been released, although the sequel will be shot in and set in London. There are several famous museums that could be utilized, such the Natural History Museum, although it isn’t known what exactly brings Larry Daley across the pond

Robin Williams, Dan Stevens, Ricky Gervais and Rebel Wilson are confirmed to star in the sequel, which Shawn Levy is directing from a script by Thomas Lennon, Robert Ben Garant, David Guion and Michael Handelman. 20th Century Fox has already given the sequel a December 19 release date.

Ben Kingsley most recently starred in Iron Man 3 and Ender’s Game. He will next be seen in Eliza Graves and A Doll’s House.
