Only Fools and Horses

BBC EastEnders viewers slam Alfie Moon’s ridiculous antics and compare him to Only Fools and Horses’ Del Boy

The wheeler-dealer has been left trying to scrap cash together after losing Phil Mitchell's money

EastEnders viewers were left feeling underwhelmed by Alfie Moon’s latest ploy during Monday’s episode (November 28) after he tried to earn some quick cash, with some comparing him to Del Boy Trotter.

After losing £30,000 of Phil Mitchell’s cash during a robbery, Alfie was left panicking after Kat Moon returned to the family home and needed to bank some of her fiancée Phil’s money.

In an attempt to claw back some of Phil’s lost cash, Alfie bought some dodgy toasters to flog down the market. He also plugged one of the appliances in at Kathy’s Café and blew the electricity leaving viewers of the BBC soap comparing Alfie’s antics to the sitcom Only Fools and Horses.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “Alfie thinks he’s Del Boy #EastEnders.” A second said: “I sometimes can’t help but wonder if EastEnders is experimenting to make and spin-off sitcom starring Alfie #EastEnders.”

A third added: “I wish they’d get rid of Alfie Moon, he really gets on my nerves, like some B-Tec Del Boy but with less charm!!! #EastEnders.”

“Ridiculous storyline and every scene Alfie is in I just find excruciatingly cringeworthy… Have to fast-forward through his scenes….. #EastEnders,” added another.
