Clint Eastwood Revealed He Lets Squirrels Into His Office in 2019 Interview

Clint Eastwood is an actor, director, producer, father, and now animal lover? He once admitted to letting squirrels in his office.

Do you think he would open his window and sing like a Disney princess, and the animals would come running? We thought so as well.

Well, Clint Eastwood, the now 90-year-old legend in Hollywood, sat down with Ellen DeGeneres in 2019 to give more insight on the squirrely antics.

Ellen, whose workplace is next to Eastwood, commented on the woodland creatures that he welcomes in his office.

“We’ve been neighbors for 11 years,” states DeGeneres. “I don’t know if anyone else has squirrels that go into the office, but he actually puts nuts out on the desk, and they come into the office. And the squirrels hang out in Clint’s office.”

“They hang for a while, and then they get bored, and they leave,” explains Clint Eastwood.

“They get bored,” laughs the popular host. “They’re not bored!”

“Yeah, but you know, squirrels have a slight attention deficit,” says Eastwood.

“Well, yeah,” Ellen says. “When the nuts run out, yes.”

This sounds like when those senile older people mistake a raccoon for a missing house cat and welcome it into their house at night.

Nothing Can Stop Clint Eastwood From Working

Regardless, Clint Eastwood is still hard at work in Hollywood, and not age nor fire can allegedly stop him.

On the Ellen show, he recalled a time when the wildfires were nearing his office and studio. Being the fearless and hardworking man he is, he didn’t evacuate but kept on working like business as usual.

“So we have a really bad fire that came very close to the lot, and everybody was evacuated,” DeGeneres gives some background since they are work neighbors. “It happened on a weekend, and you were working. And everyone said get off because the fire was at the hillside, right next to the lot. And the air quality was so bad that everyone evacuated, and you said what to them?”

“Yeah, I was coming back down to do some work at a soundstage, and I saw all this smoke going. And I said, ‘boy, that’s right where Warner Brothers is.’ and I’m getting closer and closer, and it’s Warner Brothers, and it’s smoke. I thought the whole studio was burning down. Maybe I’ll go in and see if I can retrieve something. It wasn’t. It was the hill behind there.”

Clint Eastwood continues, explaining how he got wrapped up in his work and forgot about the fire altogether.

“Everybody said, ‘oh, the studio’s been evacuated.’ I said, ‘well, we’re not evacuated. We’re here working.”

Thankfully Clint Eastwood was unharmed by the wildfires in the area, and our beloved actor can continue to create hit movies for us! But Clint, go ahead and pass along our information to your son, Scott, though.

Please and thank you!
